A tale of understanding across conflict and cultures. Themes include: integration, sanctuary seeking, activism AYT are open to all ethnicities but their work focuses on the experience and culture of specific communities

Backstage Youth

This group is a chance for young people aged 14 - 22 to find out about backstage roles in the theatre industry such as lighting, sound and stage management. This group meets on a project-by-project basis.

Black Youth Theatre 21/22

A play that follows the journey of one girl and her friends as they come to understand stigma and judgement around HIV and AIDS. Themes include: stigma, activism. This play is set in Coventry & Zimbabwe and has parts for cast from a diversity of back grounds. BYT are open to all ethnicities but their work focuses on the experience and culture of specific communities

The group will become mini-documentary makers, exploring the world around them, and their place within it. We'll play lots of games, have lots of fun, and hopefully create some exciting original theatre together.

A play looking at what happens when the UK healthcare system that we may take for granted is no longer available to us for free. Themes include: NHS, socialism v capitalism.

The Impossible Language of the Time by Chris O’Connell explores the relationship between young people and protest, and asks whether it’s possible to shape change within the old order. What is there to say when no one is listening?

Spon End 2021/22

The Spon End Youth Theatre is one of Belgrade Theatre’s outreach groups, meeting within the local community at the Covenant Restoration Assembly. We aim to give local young people a place to be creative, express themselves and develop themselves as positive individuals. Participants will have the opportunity to make new friends and have fun while building confidence and developing skills in communication and team-work.
